Our last week in Atlanta

We are so excited about our move but are also stressed. Lillie remains undaunted by the stress and has managed to keep us occupied by crawling around the house and getting into everything. Her favorite things to go for are the baby gates which give her access to the dogs, the wrought iron coffee table and any electric socket she sees.
Below are a few highlights from our past week...
She's just started pulling up in her crib the past two days. It's so cute but sad to me too. She's getting so big!

In starting to pack up her room, I found this hat and put it on her. She ended up loving it so I ran out of the room to get my camera. When I came back....after I swear 5 seconds, she had managed to crawl into the closet and was ripping into paper and boxes! This is her "caught red handed" face.

Showing off those teeth!

Our precious friends Mary and Grace who we will miss so much!

She is crawling all over the place! Her favorite spot is anywhere she has access to the dogs, who inevitably lick her through the baby gates.

Labor Day firsts

Lillie has a lot of firsts lately. Today was her first Labor Day spent happily at Grammy and Pops', Saturday was her first tea, and she cut her first two teeth this past month. Below are some pictures to document some of these big events!

Lots going on!

Most people know that we are moving to Jackson, MS, in October. Everything that goes into moving is just now hitting us. We have put our house on the market, are looking for a new house in Jackson, are wrapping up things at work over here, and we had Lillie baptized on August 19th. Needless to say, blogging has been put on the back burner! Below are a few pictures of Lil's baptism. We were so proud of her (she was very well behaved) and we just love our church and preacher. We're going to miss a lot over here, but we know that there is a lot in store for us ahead!

Now that I've started I can't stop!

The above title applies to blogging, drooling, teething and scooting, all of which are going on around our house an awful lot these days.

Flashback to mini-me

Eric and I got nostalgic tonight looking through some of Lillie's first two months' of pictures and he insisted that I add the below one....she was about 6 weeks.

Five months later...

I debated not continuing with my blog as it has been five months and I have yet to make an entry. But here I am. I have decided to keep it up for the time being...and I am still learning how to turn pictures the right way! I most certainly didn't realize how life changing having a baby would be. It definitely is in the ways of sleep deprivation, exhaustion, and delirium that everyone hears about in those first few months. But there is also the amazing life that is brand new to your home and completely dependent on you. And she grows. And smiles, then laughs. And knows you're her mom and her dad. So I decided that, for selfish reasons, I would continue blogging. Mostly because we are just so proud of Lillie and because I want to share with family and friends the amazing happiness she has brought into our life. She's kind of funny to look at too :)

Almost five months.

Almost five months with her usual smile.

Four months.
Four months -- we took a lot of pictures last month!

Three and a half months.

Lillie Aline Moody

She's here! Miss Lil arrived on Monday, February 26th, at 8:52 p.m. EST. She weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces, and was 20 inches long. We stayed in the hospital until Wednesday night (at midnight!) and have been settling in since. Needless to say, we are in love! We are in awe of her each day and are so thankful that she is healthy, happy, and home with us. Below are a few pictures of her arrival as well as a few more recent ones...
